This showcase is "MBA Essentials for Lawyers", which some firms may be interested in looking at as an in house alternative to the business school programmes discussed in the breakfast discussion. The programme is provided by Rupert Vernalls of Business Information, an ex-lawyer who has done an MBA. Rupert has distilled core learning from the MBA to enable lawyers to understand how clients think, so they can 'talk the talk' and deliver commercial solutions. The programme is a legally-focused bite-sized MBA course which will provide the most up-to-date MBA models, frameworks, tools and techniques in a form and context applicable to our work. It is taught using the Harvard Business School methodologies, articles and case studies, and these explain how some of the most successful companies in the world have developed strategy.
